Yoga for everyone in Perth, Scotland

FREE Yoga and Wellbeing Event – Pitlochry 15th March!

A community wellbeing event bringing together yoga, meditation and tai chi practitioners will take place at Pitlochry Town Hall on Sunday 15 March. The “Come and Try Day”, hosted by Highland Perthshire Yoga and Wellbeing, invites people of all ages and experience levels to explore different movement and mindfulness practices in a relaxed setting.

The day begins at 10.30am and offers a range of short sessions running across three spaces in the town hall: the Main Hall, the Lesser Hall and the Meeting Room. Each class is designed as an introduction, allowing visitors to sample different styles and teachers throughout the morning.

In the Main Hall, the programme opens with Men’s Yoga with Tina from 10.30am to 11.00am. This is followed by Power Yoga with Nala from 11.10am to 11.40am. Later sessions include Tai Chi and Qi Gong with Liz from 11.50am to 12.20pm, and a Sound Bath with Aga from 12.30pm to 1.00pm.

The Lesser Hall focuses on accessible and supportive yoga practices. The morning begins with Yoga for Older and Wiser participants with Leo-Anne from 10.30am to 11.00am. Somatic Yoga with Fi runs from 11.10am to 11.40am, followed by Hatha Yoga with Miranda from 11.50am to 12.20pm. The final session in this room is Chair Yoga with Isabel from 12.30pm to 1.00pm.

In the Meeting Room, visitors can explore mindfulness and breathwork. Mindfulness with Cat takes place from 10.30am to 11.00am. Breathing Space with Rachel runs from 11.10am to 11.40am, and Meditation with Faith closes the programme from 11.50am to 12.20pm.

After the sessions conclude at 1.00pm, participants are invited to stay for lunch. All classes are free to attend, though donations toward the light lunch are welcome.

The event aims to give local residents a chance to meet wellbeing practitioners from across Highland Perthshire and discover practices that support both physical movement and mental calm. Organisers hope the relaxed format will encourage people who may never have tried yoga, meditation or tai chi before to come along and take part.
