Weekly Classes

Things have changed a little due to


It was with heavy heart that myself, like other Yoga Teachers, made the decision on the 16th March 2020 to stop all Classes with immediate effect!! Within a few days I moved from teaching 4 Weekly Classes and two Private Client to Nothing …….

It took me a while to get me head around what was happening, what this might mean for me as a yoga teacher and my student base.  The first week I brooded a bit as probably many of us did and crocheted myself a small zoo.  I thought there are so many teachers flashing their Sweaty Betty’s on YouTube where would I, or even could I, fit in?

I was supported by two few teachers and good friends who were dabbling with Zoom to give on-line classes a go.  Maybe my students would like the comfort of a teacher they knew.  The first classes were a little nerve-racking, give me a live crowd any day!! They were even a little emotional – I think I needed the classes and connection as much as my students.

I currently teach two Zoom Classes, one Hatha on a Monday evening (7-8pm) and an Ashtanga on a Wednesday evening (6.30-7.30pm).   Students are currently those I have worked with due to having Health Check Forms etc. but if you are interested please let me know.  (£3 a class or £12 for 4wks, charges are negotiable)

I hope this will only be a temporary measure as I miss the energy, buzz and back-chat of a live class, but  in the meantime Zoom can hopefully fill a gap for us all, although it does still feel strange to have students say I am on their telly!!

Ashtanga  Style Yoga (1/2 Lead Primary Series): 18.30 to 19.40 Wednesday’s

Ashtanga is a sequence of yoga postures which are practised with flow and awareness of the breath and whole body: the body is warmed with the sun salutes before moving through standing postures, seated postures and then finishs with backbends and inversions.  By the end of the class every area of the body should feel lengthened and opened.

It is a dynamic flowing practice so more dynamic than a traditional Hatha class. The sequence, when done regularly with good focus, becomes a moving meditation!

Hatha Yoga: 19.40 to 20.40 Wednesday’s

This class is aimed at beginners and general level students. This traditional Hatha yoga class is gentle and aimed at building awareness of the breath and help strengthen the body.  Through yoga we aim to stretch the body allowing it to move more freely in everyday use.

What you’ll need

Please bring along a mat and wear loose, comfortable clothing. A blanket would also be nice for the relaxation. (Although the room is lovely and cosy!)


All classes take place in Luncarty Church Centre (Marshall Way, PH1 3UX)
